Doug Bowman

DOUG BOWMAN is an influential designer whose highly successful creations have pushed him to the forefront of responsible, forward-thinking web design. Bowman left Wired in 2002 to found Stopdesign, a small design firm based in San Francisco. Under Stopdesign, he designed widely acclaimed sites and applications for Google, Capgemini, Blogger, Cathay Pacific Airways, Adaptive Path, and Mighty Goods. In 2006, he put work for Stopdesign on hold to join Google full time as Visual Design Lead, where he is attempting to change the world, just a few million users at a time.

“I was amazed at how much it has grown in sheer audience size, yet it still manages to keep the approachable, down-to-earth atmosphere that really does set it ‘apart.’ Bravo.” David Sleight, Deputy Creative Director, BusinessWeek.com
